Santorini: Megalochori Artisans Tour with Wine Tasting

  • Visit the workshops of 3 local craftspeople in Megalochori
  • Enjoy a guided Santorini wine tasting with local pours
  • Savor a spitiko spread of authentic home-cooked Santorini food
  • Explore one of the island's most beautiful, least crowded villages
  • Join a small group built for real conversation with fellow travelers

Meet the people who still make things by hand. This small-group walk through Megalochori, one of Santorini's most beautiful and least crowded villages, takes you into the workshops of three local craftspeople, with a Santorini wine tasting and a home-cooked spitiko spread along the way. Not a viewpoint tour. A village, its makers, and the food and wine that hold it together.

Most of Santorini's tours show you the view. This one introduces you to the people. Megalochori is the village the crowds drive past: walkable, photogenic, and still genuinely lived-in, with bell towers, wine canavas, and lanes that haven't been turned into pure souvenir rows. It's the right place to do the thing Santorini rarely offers anymore: meet the makers who keep the island's crafts alive, in their own workshops, with time to actually talk.

Spend the morning with three local craftspeople, watching them work, hearing how they learned, and seeing what a hand-made Santorini looks like up close. Between the workshops, the village feeds you: a tasting of Santorini wines poured by people who know them, and a spitiko spread — proper home cooking, the food locals actually eat, not a restaurant menu.

It's a small group on purpose, built for conversation. Come solo or as a couple — by the time you've sat over wine and shared a table, the group that started as strangers feels like something else. Craft, culture, wine, and food — the real best of a Santorini village, in one unhurried walk.
